ABOUT US

The Cyprus Committee was formed in 1991 and has been raising funds ever since. Although we are a small band of volunteers, mostly but not exclusively ex-Army, our fund raising performance equals or exceeds that of similar County organisations in UK, in fact we equal the amount raised in the whole of Wales. We continue to do well and expect to repeat last year's performance and send back to UK some S£50,000.  We hope that in what are quite changed circumstances, we continue to be helped by our loyal supporters. 

We'll take volunteers wherever we can find them!  Join us, make new friends!  We raise our funds by organising a variety of events on the island of Cyprus.  They include Military band Concerts, cocktail parties (The Annual Reception), sporting events, (the Aphrodite Hills May Day 10 Km run/ramble and the Kolossi Christmas 10 Km run/ramble.  There are Wine Tastings and Buffet Suppers and a very entertaining but undemanding motorised ramble and picnic up into the Troodos foothills when the weather gets hot.
